My neighbor owns one of the original six that were built on a 1960 Mercury concept car frame. He shows it at car shows, drives it in local parades and loans it out for publicity shows. He recently loaned it to the Cincinnati bengals so they could do a photo shoot with T.O. and Ocho Cinco who have started calling themselves “Batman and Robin”. It is an amazingly cool vehicle. He treats it like it was made of crystal and gold.
I knew the original ‘60’s Batmobile was a facelifted Ford concept car, but I didn’t know there were six of them.
