At that time this part of Norway (in fact everything in Norway, Sweden, Finland, etc.) was occupied by Sa'ami people. There were no Indo Europeans in the area ~ and, as I suggested, there was a volcanic eruption (or two or three, or maybe dozens) over many hundreds of years that sliced Scanderhoovia right in two burying previous Sa'ami occupancy.
There's a broad path East and West across the Fenno-Scandian peninsula that has NO readily accessible archaeological sites, and here's something that's almost a first!
Wonder what the Fluoride content is.

The dwelling site lies 11 meters over sea level today, but was at the water's edge 5,500 years ago. Nah, couldn't be. They must be mistaken.

Now that is funny. Your comment had me chuckling for a long time. I was thinking that with such a great find, wouldn’t there be at least one photo?

Hope the archeologists don’t wander into some Norwegian “mini-Naples”

Norges «mini-Pompeii» De best bevarte keramikkrukker fra yngre steinalder som noen gang er funnet i Norge, er dukket opp fra en forseglet boplass. Funnet kalles en arkeologisk sensasjon.

THe entire “North” is rising to this day. The weight of miles deep glacial ice load, now gone, pushed down. The resulting rising is called “rebound”.

Actually, most of that 11 meters is due to glacial rebound.
The weight of the ice pushes down the land mass and when the ice is gone, it slowly rises (as it is still doing today). The tops of the fjords in Scandinavia were not too long ago at sea level.

I wonder if these people had any ancestor we call “Kennewick Man”? IMO certainly worth the thought and maybe further study.
