You mean the pagan superstition part or the light pollution part?

Speaking of pagan superstition, it's been awhile since I ate mushrooms, painted myself blue, and run nekked thru the forest. Never have tried it at night. Hmmm...

with no electricity, the heavens must have been brilliant, even better than they were when we wuz all kids and lived in or visited the boonies.

You can! Except for differnces due to proper motion, of course.

All it takes is a trip to North Korea. No light pollution.

Food & sanitation leave a bit to be desired, though...but that would just add to the authenticity of the "ancient" experience.
