My family raised beef cattle. All drop at once? Sounds more like poisoning to me.

We had 25 cows dead out in a pasture many years ago. They were huddled together when a bolt of lightening got them. All show cattle and a very big loss.

If they had an infectious disease that dropped 200 of them in a day or two, without warning, then you can be sure the CDC is in there, along with hazmat suits.
