I’ve been noticing the same planet for the last month or so...I think it is Jupiter, but could definitely be mistaken.

It has been known to happen...

I’m guessing Venus.

Skyandtelescope.com has a good interactive sky chart.

since we haven’t seen it in awhile, it’s probably the sun.

Venus, Jupiter is the evening planet that messes around with the moon.

If it’s very low on the horizon it is probably Venus. If it appears to be about 35 degrees up in the ESE it is probably Saturn

It's probably the first planet you see in the evening as well. Venus.

Let me guess, Sunday afternoon, no football, you’re lonely and want someone to talk to...........Get a damn cat or somethin’..........Or a goldfish, if it dies you don’t have to bury it. Just flush it down the toilet

You’re probably seeing Venus in the morning, and for the past few months Jupiter has been especially brilliant in the evenings.

Keep an eye on Orion in case Betelgeuse finally decides to let loose....

Get yourself a Droid phone and download the “Google Sky” app. Launch the app, point the back of the phone to the star/planet in question and you will see the name.

That is how I do it!

If it’s the planet I think it is, it’s the one reminding you to buy jewelry, chocolates, and flowers. You have two more weeks.
