It makes one wonder why the “predictions” line only depicts the future. It should extend into the past in order for the reader to assess how good prior predictions have been. Perhaps they aren’t that proud?

It makes one wonder why the “predictions” line only depicts the future. It should extend into the past in order for the reader to assess how good prior predictions have been. Perhaps they aren’t that proud?

That prediction line has been revised downward several times over the past two years, based on it's continued overprediction of sunspots vis a vis observed sunspots.

(P.S., I posted the wrong graph in 6 above. I posted Flux, not Sunspot count. Here is the Sunspot count and also a May 2009 graph:)
