Fascinating how the article never uses the word theory. This article is quite a “scientific” achievement, describing what amounts to edicts issued by scientists about how events transpired 70 million years ago.

So, remember, this is not a theory. The rocks give the scientists all the evidence they need to inform us about what happened 70 million years ago, and, coincidentally, exactly what we need to do now to avert climate change problems that they can precisely determine will happen in the future.

This guys should work for CSI.

I thought the consensus was cyanobacteria were largely responsible for the oxygenation.
