To: Dead Corpse

I think the 5.56 is a good cartridge for varmints from prairie dogs up to coyotes. I’m not a big fan of it as a military cartridge, though.

I'd agree with that. Some of the 6mm variants seem to be making a better trade off between range and effectiveness.

In some of the ME conflicts, long range rules the roost though. All of those start at 7.62x and go up from there. M14's and M1A's come into their own.

I have 3 AR's. Looking at possibly selling two of them to finance getting a Noreen in .416 Barrett or .50BMG match. Try my hand at REALLY long range shooting.
