It is no surprise to me that he and his colleagues have run into the brick wall of pal review, as have so many others whose findings are not in line with the AGW crowd. His remark about his co-workers, i.e.no students because that would have a bad effect on their careers is saddening. One would wish someone of his calibre would be able to teach many a generation of young minds.
The applause for his statement about too many models and not enough observations illustrates one of the great frustrations most of us have with the model- but not reality-based AGW papers.
Personally, I fond the clarity and logic of his thoughts and presentation very refreshing, showing the great tradition of French physicists.
