I support a woman’s right to choose, but I am uncomfortable with the procedures. When Tim Russert asked me on Meet the Press if I would ban partial-birth abortion, my pro-choice instincts led me to say no. After the show, I consulted two doctors I respect and, upon learning more about this procedure, I have concluded that I would support a ban.

The reason why Trump gave to every politician and their mothers is to keep them off his back. He's a capitalist. You may have heard of the saying "The bigger you are, the bigger target you are"
Trump and cooperations "pay off" the politicians to mitigate any ideas that they may have against them or their cooperations as a political target, so they pay them off.
In the 90s, Gates learned this first hand when Janet Reno went after Microsoft because the Clinton Administration thought the Windows operating systems was a monopoly that violated antitrust laws. BS. Now Bill Gates does what Trump does, give to every political candidate and party of all stripes. Something Trump has instinctively known.
Both arrived at a dark time when America was an ashamed laughing stock. Both where straight shooters,and natural born citizens, that’s the similarity.
I am not talking about donations I am talking about his party affiliation which he changes every few years. He has been a registered Rep, Dem, Ind, Reform, Dem and now Rep again.
He has no core values, he blows with the wind.
As someone said on another thread the only thing Trump really stands for is himself.

Yes, donation to the political Pacs and funds = payoffs.
He can cover all of that later but the BC gets everybody’s attention. He is the perfect one to carry this message.

I thought so at the time. There was so much going on with that thing, it is possible that Rush just finlly said, let’s settle this. polarik had screwed up any legitimacy the birthers might have had and Rush wouldn’t touch that with a ten foot pole. In fact, I think polarik was the reason NO ONE would touch it.
Another thought just hit me. It was NewsMax that came out with this Trump thing. David Limbaugh is NewsMax. Just another teeny connection?
