Congrats. As the proud father of twins - beware. Our twin girls were a handful on their own, but also very collicky. The first two years were very tiring for both me and my wife. Don’t turn down ANY and ALL offers of help as your time will be at a premium.

Lots of fun though too, as with any child. And yes - you DO need to get two of everything! (Two swings, two bouncy chairs, two high chairs, two swivel seats, .....) Hope that they are, and stay, healthy.

Congratulations! I have twin girls. :~) Are these your first children? My twins were my first (and only) children. People always ask me if it was a lot of work, etc. I found having twins easy since I didn’t have a first child to compare the amount of work to. You just do what needs to be done. I would go back and do it all over again because they were such easy girls to raise. No colic, no temper tantrums, etc. You stay busy that’s for sure. I didn’t have two of everything like another poster is recommending. Some things I did, sure. But my daughters shared most of their clothes, they shared toys. They shared a bed during the day up until they started bothering each or playing too much at naptime.

My daughters were easy. When you found one, you found the other. They played together pretty much. They weren’t in different parts of the house tearing things up. They were even nice to me as toddlers. lol In the morning when I occasionally slept in and hadn’t gotten up yet, they went to the kitchen cabinet, got the plastic container with Cheerios, turned on the TV and watched until I woke up because of the sound of the TV.

Twins doesn’t have to mean twice the expense. My daughters shared a bed for a long time. It helped them learn to share and also helped them learn the words “no” and “I don’t have the money for that” ~ and they were understanding for the most part, thank goodness!

The most trouble my daughters got into was emptying their toy box of every last toy and then both climbing into it. They once found a small hole in one of the two humungous teddy bears that their dad bought for them and strewed teddy bear stuffing all over their bedroom floor and into the hallway! It looked like it had snowed in their bedroom. Couldn’t really get mad at them for it when we were laughing and taking pics of the sight! lol I also once found the toilet paper tissue unrolled all around the house when I awoke. ;~)
