OccupyDC Taking Suggestions for Manifesto - Oh please FREEP this!
Occupy DC ^ | 10/12/2011

Posted on 10/12/2011 1:54:34 AM PDT by Another Kansan

OccupyDC continues to accept ”clauses and preamble” submissions at McPherson Square. Previously a process was developed for the writing for the Declaration of the Occupation of Washington DC. A “clauses and preamble” drop box was built and will be available for one week on the square. The box is for any individual who visits the square to submit written ideas on the ways in which society is failing them. These ideas will be presented at daily general assemblies beginning Monday, October 17, to enable the entire group to work toward consensus on the Declaration.

Brilliant opportunity for the majority who pay taxes to submit their grievances against the failures of the system. Why not join the protest briefly, and drop something in their suggestion box! Some modest suggestions for consideration:

1) Fannie Mae and irresponsible lending to people who can't pay their debts, causing the financial system to collapse;

2) Excessive regulation stifling job creation;

3) Irresponsible fiscal polices leading to unsustainable deficit spending;

4) Excessive taxation stunting productive areas of the economy, and promoting unproductive areas;

...All can play!

As if these neohippies are going to faithfully read everything that comes out of the box?

The problem with the DC group....if you gave them a drug test....ninety percent would fail. If you asked them for some booze....almost everyone has a bottle that they are sharing.

5) The system is failing children by teaching them failure is rewarded and success punished, leaving them unprepared to compete.

We’d better use short words, because those neohippies are (mostly) products of the public indoctrination system and can’t read beyond a third grade level.

If that rich bitch had a brain to go along with her inherited money, she’d know that the IRS has a web page where she can give additional money to the government. (And if she truly had a ton of inherited money, she’d probably have a better sign.)

She has not clue how hard her benefactors worked to give her that inheritance.

If I see or hear of one of my grandkids at one of these events I won't be able to pick the phone up fast enough to my attorney to change the Trust!

Let them work as hard as I did for my money - cause they won't see a dime!

This brings before my eyes — the Founding Fathers in Constitution Hall. hahah, such a comparison. Thomas Jefferson comes before the Hall to ask, “If anybody has any ideas on what it is we stand for, please scribble them on a piece of paper and drop them, anonymously, into the box.”

hardihar

I actually did that. It was posted for about five minutes, and then... ta da!... it disappeared. Two separate comments. (Go figure.)

I want a unicorn that craps skittles and Mac & Cheese with real cheese and hotdogs already in it.
But the hotdogs need to be pre-cut into fancy, bite-size pieces. Oh, and MSG free, too.

That young woman should cut the government a check. Right away! As much as she doesn’t want - heck, send it all!
