I built a Heathkit, along with an Eico kit, a Scottkit, and a couple of Harman Kardon kits.

How many people here even recognize the word “Heathkit”?

IT'S A TRAP!!!!!

In other not so new knews....

The LHC is exploring the leading explanation that mass arises from ordinary particles slogging through an otherwise invisible but pervasive field of virtual Higgs particles...or in other words...the rest of us are exploring the leading explanation that mass arises from ordinary peoples slogging through an otherwise indivisible but pervasive field of virtual Hogs particles, and most have accumulated so much baggage they are still standing on the platform cause the train has left the station...

I bet if you put out some sub-atomic snacks like pions, muons, and gluons, I bet those Higgies will come out from their hiding places.

Looks like the next new episode of “The Universe” on H2 will be about God’s role in creating the universe. I’m sure that there will be plenty to disagree with but I don’t doubt that it will be interesting.

We were building one in Texas, 3 times the power and size. Our government cancelled it in 1993 because it might have cost 12 billion instead of 8.
The list of things our government spends 8 billion on is almost comical. We can throw a half a billion to solyndra alone, in return for campaign contributions.
NOw scientists flock to the european version.

Another of the job stripping US policies,,,

Now I know what I want for Christmas. Think Santa can get it down the chimney (or in my stocking)?

Gertrude and Heathcliff are flying along. One says “Look down there, the ship of fools.” “How do know thats the ship of fools?” “They’re looking UP...”
