It had to be an electrical flash of some kind. It was too short to be chemical. They said there was no lightning in the area. Too me, it looks like it emanated from the ground. But it’s too big to be an electrical transformer. I am betting on some unusual form of lightning.

"I am betting on some unusual form of lightning."
Phoenix is the place for it. The weather there is darn weird.
Dry heat though. Just like opening an oven.

It is a type of lightening in which air molecules move catastrophically to the plasma state. Generally this type of phenomena occurs in areas where the magnetic field has been disrupted.
With the recent solar storms this is a strong possiblity.

Micro emp. Ask the target if they temporarily lost power. My guess they won’t go public!

I was wondering if it was some sort of light generated by the recording equipment. Something similar to that “beam” shown to be “emanating from” that Mayan pyramid.
But what do I know? I’m a musician.

OK I finally stopped laughing now.
Lol. Sheesh.

It may have been a transformer exploding. I remember a San Francisco Monday night game recently when the lights blew at Candlestick Park, they showed a transformer blowing outside the stadium and it looked an awful lot like the one in the video.
