Fascinating

I talked some of my weather guessering shipmates back onto the ship in the P.I., 1980. They were gonna stay there or so they thought. We had a tyrant for a newly minted Chief.
This kinda crappola been happening as long as ships left the sight of land, I reckon.
Great historical piece though, thank God for Maury as well. Read about his innovation and use of “apps” to create standardized maritime meteorological observations.
