Report: 225,000 Californians Flee State Per Year (Pharaoh...let my people go!!!)
Breitbart ^ | 9/28/2012 | Tony Lee

Posted on 09/29/2012 5:36:48 AM PDT by Kolath

Due to high taxes, burdensome regulations, lack of public sector reforms, and a lackluster job climate, more people have left California than come to the state since 2005, according to a comprehensive study by the Manhattan Institute released on Tuesday, suggesting California is no longer “perceived by most Americans as the land where dreams come true.”

In the report, titled “The Great California Exodus: A Closer Look," Tom Gray and Robert Scardamalia found Californians have fled to states like Texas, Arizona, Nevada, Colorado, Idaho, South Carolina, and Georgia because those states have a better economic climate with less taxes and regulation.

And they bring their liberalism with them!

Unfortunately, true. They leave their blue states because of high taxes, crime, corruption, anti-business climate, unemployment, etc., and then, once in their adopted state, they proceed to vote for politicians who promote those very same conditions.

Is that a *net* outflow, are are they being replaced by drug cartel wetbacks? I'd live under a bridge in Florida before I'd live in a mansion in California! And yes,California Freepers.I know that there are *some* decent people there.Too bad they make up such a small percentage of the population.

ORIGINALLY, all of the blues from other states converged on those of us in California who were born in here—and are conservative.

It’s the fruits and nuts from other states that turned us INTO a “blue state.”

:(

California is going Detroit, and the decline will pick up speed exponentially, as more people leave.

It’s past the tipping point.

Come on down to the Missouri Ozarks. Low taxes, plenty of turkey, deer, fish. You can shoot your gun. Did I mention low taxes ?

We need the state police (or patrol or whatever the various state's call them) meet these Californians (or New Yorkers, Massholes, or whatever political cesspool state they're from) at the border and direct them to the de-brainwashing stations.

There, they'll be taught Economics 101 (like the law of supply and demand and diminishing returns), the US Constitution (simply broken down into parts and read in plain English, without a Marxist professor to "interpret" it for them) and US History by eager teachers who actually love America. Civics would also be a good subject.

Once they show some knowledge about this country and how it works they can graduate and move on to their final destinations.

Hell, maybe we can even send some back as double agents. I'd even contribute to their salaries!

If this is true ...... How is California maintaining it's 54 electoral votes in the state after the 2010 census?

Something really smells in that state......

Oh, and I forgot to add (but please don’t share this publicly) that for the more stupid and hardcore Leftists...

We’re going to need some kind of Clockwork Orange type adjustment procedures. I’m thinking the “student” strapped to a gurney with something to keep their eyes open, shown pictures of Oprah Winfrey, the gals from the View, Kim Kardashian, Bill Clinton, etc, while they’re given jolts from a taser. Do this until any mention of these “celebrities” cause involuntary trembling.

Only then will they be safe to be released into the general public.

Blue state immigrants to red states should be banned from voting at state and local level until they have lived in the state for 10 years, and only then if they have demonstrated, not merely talked up, conservatism in their personal behavior.

That’s what happened here in SC and we ended up with Lindsay as a senator as a result. We went from a red state to lavender.
