I guess these “Geniuses” have never read that satellite orbits decay over time...and all satellites in orbit around the Earth will come crashing down...eventually. Low earth orbits decay. Others may not. Take the Moon for instance, it is getting further away and may someday get tossed off totally.

Satellites in geo-synchronous orbit are there for 100s of thousands of years.
They all spin around the earth in the same direction. One of the future threats of islam is that they could launch a load of shrapnel in geo-synchronous orbit going the wrong way which would quickly destroy every satellite in that orbit with no hope of using it ever again.
