What pushed this thing out of the asteroid belt?

It could easily have been another asteroid — an impact by something of the same size, or smaller, which is following a mostly similar orbit, knocks into “our” rock, and both rocks separate like a couple of billiard balls, sending one outward, and the other one inward.

It was just doing it's thing when our orbit intersected it's orbit....that is what the simulation says to me.
If we would have just moved there would have been no problem.
