What did Adam do for the 30,000+ years before Eve showed up? Reproduction is a real conundrum for evolution, because if any minute part of either reproductive system is missing, reproduction doesn’t happen. It would take billions of years for two completely different reproductive systems to evolve, and life would have been extinct.

Didn’t “Eve” show up first?

“”Mitochondrial Eve”... between 190,000 and 200,000 years ago, and ... “Y-chromosomal Adam”, between 50,000 and 115,000 years ago.”

Still, that’s a long time for anyone to hang out in the primordial singles bar, waiting.

:)

People who actually read the above excerpt or the entire article have already learned that the two estimates of age ranges now overlap, whereas the earlier studies didn’t.

I don’t know what they did without women, but the place must have been a mess with clothes all over the place, the bathrooms would have been a sticky mess, and the unwashed dishes would be piled high.

No nagging
Drink beer
No clothes, so no mess
No work, all play

Kinda cool.

And to the NSA trolls, FU.
