Deep time is a lie. That so many supposed conservatives believe this is pathetic.

There is no hard evidence to confirm deep time (millions of years.)

????

Please step away from the computer, find and destroy any school records you have which falsely indicate that you are capable of any math beyond Obama-level White House drivel, and then apply for an Obamaphone.

I can’t imagine earth is much older than 15,000 years. I won’t get into all the specifics about it right now, but I also think the flood had something to do with mass killing off of animals heh.

That so many supposed conservatives believe this is pathetic

So in order to be conservative you have to believe in absolute 7 day creation and roughly 10k year old Earth?

I thought conservatism was political view, not religious belief.

Why are you folks so fixated on time. God exists outside of time and even in this universe it’s flexible and variable.

Or do you oppose Relativity on Biblical grounds too.

redated an impact structure that straddles the border of the states of Mato Grosso and Goiás in Brazil, called the Araguainha crater, to 254.7m years...(due to) ...refinements in geochronological techniques (parentheses mine)

If this were a low-information publication, I might not expect to be enlightened on what these refined geochronological techniques were, specifically. But here we have phys.org glossing over them as though they were somehow now axiomatic. Inquiring minds want to know. How were the old dates obtained, and how were these refined dates obtained? It's kinda important. Meanwhile, I don't think any of these speculations account for massive burials in silt, worldwide. However, the Biblical flood does.

Fossils are put here by satan to confuse everyone....

Earth is only as old as the oldest living person...

The speed of light is a myth too...

Rate of decay vs. amount of decay of radioactive materials is one. The fact that we can see light from objects millions of light years away is another.

This is in no way intended to deny God- just man's understanding of Him.

"There is no hard evidence to confirm deep time (millions of years.)b"

How can one stand at the base of a 100 ft. cliff, observe the multitude of layers of rock, note the different and unique fossils found in all those layers and make a statement like you just did? I sure can't - and there's nothing "supposed" in my conservatism.

fwdude to renfield, post #4: "Deep time is a lie. That so many supposed conservatives believe this is pathetic.
There is no hard evidence to confirm deep time (millions of years.)"

fwdude to Jim Red, post #38: "The methods used to measure decay are blatantly faulty. They just are.
Ask 20 scientists to assess the age of a rock, and you'll get 20 wildly different answers.
There is very little science involved in an evolutionary position of creation."

fwdude to Durus, post #44: "All lies. You are hardly conservative.
And yes, I am the arbiter in this case."

Sure, fwdude is arbiter of his own personal opinions, to which he is entitled.
But if fwdude is going to reject some of science because it conflicts with his religious beliefs, then he should reject all of science, since it all results from the same methodological naturalism.

Da Cayote to fwdude: "Please step away from the computer..."

fwdude should step away from any and all scientific technology, including his computer, vehicles, electric lights and, while we're on the subject: his clothes and the food he eats.

You know, the stone age didn't end because we ran out of stones.
There are still plenty of them out there, and fwdude can go back to living that way any time he wants.
