Meteorite bah!
The Earth and Mars had intersecting orbits, before that last time they almost kissed.

Wow! This professor actually admits, "Earth is not suitable for the chemistry [for the creation of Life].

isn't the word "organic" associated only with living structures? No but these type stories are used to try and make laymen believe that to be the case.

When scientists can explain a simple little puzzle... which came first the chicken or the egg, I will listen.

Yep
For an atheist, it’s like having a junk yard full of parts and one day - it’s a 747 - no reason it just is

Organic in this sense merely means it’s a carbon compound.

There are exceptions, but the general rule of carbon based compounds applies. Things like oxides, carbides, cyanides, and carbonates are considered inorganic. (like your CO2 reference)

They can't even claim that. Where did the junkyard come from? Where did the parts come from?
Those clowns gotta start from nothing. Absolutely nothing. And nothing comes from nothing. They lose.

Thanks Fractal Trader. Before anyone gets cranky with me, no, I don't think Earth's life started on Mars, and have for some time regarded this idea as a transparent ploy to push for manned missions to Mars. Robotic exploration of the Martian surface is definitely the way to go for the foreseeable, and I'm 100 percent in favor of those. Furthermore, people who want to settle on Mars should be allowed to, but after they run into the inevitable problems, they should be allowed to die there in whatever way they see fit. I suggest we send the Moslems, they're used to living in deserts of their own creation.

Yeah, and then against all logic, reason and science life spontaneously generated from non-life. Kind of like how they used to believe that maggots spontaneously grew out of bad meat. Quaint.

Sagan reports that complex molecules are constantly arriving on earth from comet and meteor debris. Also, do we have any idea when the asteroid planet blew up, and could it have blown past Mars and carried a lot of debris this way, or just had fragments from the explosion hit the earth, carrying who knows what?
