Me too, though the viking funereal scene at the end disturbed me.

As an adult, though... Tony Curtis a viking?

About as believable as Tony Curtis as a Greek slave in “Spartacus”. Still a fun film.

I know, I know...hard to believe Curtis as a Viking...but the movie was pretty authentic otherwise, the village set was researched and even the horses ridden by Douglas and borgnine were borrowed from a zoo as they were what the horses looked like at that time and place. I figured kudos to kirk Douglas for producing a film that strived for authenticity.
