Due to the difficulty of getting a parking space, putting cones in front of your house to "reserve" a space is a widespread practice in NYC. It's annoying, but a lot of people do it. Since they were having a BBQ, it is conceivable that they were expecting more guests and were trying to make sure they had a parking space. Is that so dangerous to the city that it deserves having a home invasion and beat-down by the cops?
Pet owners of any sort of pet now have to fear the NYPD. Stomping on the family parakeet? How was that possibly justified?

The bird said Arf, and the police thought is was a dog, so they killed it.

"Stomping on the family parakeet? How was that possibly justified?" Obviously there was no dog on the premises.

If NYPD loses the respect of the people, theyll end up being targets. And will Mayor De Blasio Wilhelm have their back? He seems like the kind of guy that would have no problem with no-go areas in the city, with most of it a war zone.

Question: What’s the difference between the NYPD, street thugs, and the Mafia?
Answer: The NYPD has badges, otherwise nothing else.

Due to the difficulty of getting a parking space, putting cones in front of your house to "reserve" a space is a widespread practice in NYC.I had the idea of a bottom-weighted plastic fake fire hydrant for that purpose. Park and throw it in the trunk. Never followed through on it, though.

The fact that the people who live in the area are not surrounding the police station and protesting in droves tells me more about our future than anything else that has happened recently.
The fact that when bad things happen from the government and its enforcers people are forced to go it alone tells me how simple it will be to end this country as we once knew it.
