A single video doesn’t mean anything. If all the buffalo leave then its cause for concern.

I’ll be concerned if Yogi and Booboo leave. Well longer than to see a movie.

I’m far enough away that, for me, it will be a good show.

nearly one quarter of the northern elk herd at Yellowstone National Park are missing, according to the annual winter count.

Unusually harsh winter and increasing predation from wolves.

The buffalos are exiting. If the deer and the antelope are close behind something HUGE is about to happen.

Next thing you know bloggers will be quoting lines from the movie “2012” as proof that she’s gonna blow.

Buffalo are migratory animals and are usually on the move. Looking at that video w/o a perspective of direction they may be moving towards the caldera instead of away from it.

Videos like this prove nothing. If it blows it blows and there’s nothing anyone can do about it. At least it will make the lamestream media stop talking about owebamacaare and the missing jetliner.

The last eruption at Yellowstone was 70,000 years ago and was mafic, basaltic without the explosive nature of the earlier super eruptions. The magma chamber is huge and when it expands, the earth moves. If something was moving on up, you’d expect a flurry of earthquakes in the hundreds per day. A 5.1 mag quake is certainly within the normal expectations for this hot spot. As for the LA quake, it has no relationship to Yellowstone and little relation to this horrible 8.2 quake in Chili other than they are both on plate margins. However, Chile is on a subduction zone and LA is related to a strike slip fault though the specific fault may well be another type. I don’t know.

It's the end of the world, you know, and doom is all the rage in consumerism today. There's big money in it.

Most of the articles about the Yellowstone Caldera have included hysterical exaggerations. The Caldera is very long, very wide, very shallow, less than 10% of it molten, with many outlets and very generally weak.

What will really happen when the Yellowstone supervolcano erupts?

The problem is that these Buffalo will have to run all the way the east coast to escape this thing if it blows.

If Yellowstone detonates in a major event, all east and southeast to the east coast will be choking and covered in ash etc...In time, the dust and ash would circle the planet...It would kill off most crops etc...

Survivors would be in for some very cold winters.

“Whether I believe this, or whether I don’t believe the story or not, I don’t know. I can tell you this story I saw this morning about the buffaloes running the street … whether or not it’s because of any activity in Yellowstone or not, I don’t know,”

Buffaloes?!? Really!?!..Bwahahhahaha!! I agree with buzzard, it is the wolves. The wolves are killing off the elk, chasing buffalo. Wolves are the activity in Yellowstone. Here in Wyoming we believe in shoot, shovel, shut up.

Experiencing an earthquake is on my bucket list. I’ve been through floods, hurricanes, forest fires, tornados, but havent crossed off earthquake yet. The closest thing was a plant explosion in Texas in the early 90s that shook the house and made the windows bow.

Nothing like the forces of nature to put you in your place and remind you how tiny you are.
