I’ve always had an avid interest in what goes on “out there”, and watch every offering on the subject on TV, as well-and I thought there was agreement that the speed limit in the universe was the speed of light, as per Einstein’s findings-have I missed something?
You haven’t missed anything-2 million mph sounds crazy fast but it is only about 0.003 speed of light.
2 million mph is a snail’s pace compared to the speed of light.
The speed of light is roughly 166,282 miles per second.
Light travels 111,769,920 miles per minute.
Light travels 670,615,200 miles per hour.
So given the speed of light is 100s of times faster than 2 million miles per hour a star cluster reaching that speed is entirely possible.
article is per hour, normally we say 186,000 per second?
Remember when grade school teachers spend a lot of time teaching us to correctly label numbers?
2 Million mph.
The speed of light is 670 616 629 miles per hour.
