I don’t know about “undesirables,” however, emptying Gitmo is THE goal of this regime and its communist constituencies.
But I know that the regime will avoid checks and balances illegally as they just did in case of Bergdahl by releasing al Qaeda and traitors imprisoned for life for political “accomplishments:”
1- Pollard, to conclude a Mideast Peace treaty between Israel and the Palestinians. Our intelligence agencies consistently refused to even discuss it since the Klintoon administration
2- the blind sheikh, to appease the Moslem Brotherhood.

I believe that the Bergdahl affair is the circumstantial evidence of a deal between Morsi and 0b0z0 involving releasing the blind sheikh that was about to be pulled off in Libya on 09/11/2012, if things went as planned.
