There were a couple of spots in my hometown where the tar bubbled out of the road. Apparently they caught the sun just right during the summer and got slicked with tar.
Yeah, the road in front of our family home was tar and chip. As kids, we’d go out and pop the tar bubbles when the stuff pooled in the road, and used to tear up chunks and play with it like it was Play Doh. We were weird kids.
