Love/Scott/Hurd: Should they campaign with Cassidy in the Louisiana Runoff?
2014 Election Results - November 4th and December 6th Runoff | 7-Nov-2014 | vanity

Clearly, the GOP is strongly supporting Bill Cassidy for the December 6th Runoff.

One thing that would be a good thing for the future would be to put Mia Love, Tim Scott, or Will Hurd on the Campaign Trail with Bill Cassidy.

Most of the dependable Democratic supporting the Democratic party are black.

Why not put Mia Love, Tim Scott and Will Hurd in the news to show how the GOP has added three to its numbers.

In my opinion, this would be: win-win for the GOP, Bill Cassidy, but also for Mia Love, Tim Scott, and Will Hurd.

TOPICS: Chit/Chat
KEYWORDS: billcassidy; cassidy; louisiana; marylandrieu; mialove; robmaness; timscott; willhurd
The GOP Senate Committee is buying ads for Cassidy.

Why not show case some of the recent victors from the November 4th 2014 election?

Not a bad idea, but I really do think Landrieu is finished. They pulled her ads, and this morning she walked into a Twitter buzzsaw, asking “Where was Bill Cassidy when Katrina hit?”

Cassidy responded with a picture of him building a surge hospital.

Classic.

Plus, let’s be honest, majority of blacks like those you mentioned less than Cassidy. They seem as sell outs.

Bill Cassidy was not even a politician when Hurricane Katrina hit? So Landrieu wants to focus on the past. Where was Mary Landrieu when Hurricane Katrina hit. What was the Louisana Purchase for Obamacare for Mary landrieu’s vote. What about Mary’s family getting perks similar to the Hagan family of NC?

No, that's what Democrats do. Love, Scott, and Hurd are Conservatives - not cattle.

Putting them on the campaign trail sounds like they’re pawns in someone else’s game. I’m sure you didn’t mean it that way, but it may have been better to ask whether Cassidy’s campaign should invite them to join in the runoff efforts.

My opinion is that it kinda smacks of tokenism. I think Cassidy’s team should invite anyone and everyone that they think can be helpful to his campaign, regardless of race or sex. If that includes Love, Scott and/or Hurd, great.

I answered my own question December 2006, was when Cassidy entered political office when he won a special election. Hurricane Katrina - August 2005.

I did check that he was developing a clinic at an empty Kmart to serve the needs of people for disaster relief. He xpanded his desire for better medical care and went into politics for affordable health care. Both Husband and wife are physicians.

The man should be commended for his desires to improve medical care in Louisiana. at one time he was a democrat, who stated that the Democrat Party left me, not that I left the Democrat Party. He was a conservative democrat and was appalled by the radical (libera) ideals that was changing the democrat party.

If the rat voters didn't show-up for Landrieu on 11/4, they sure as shootin' aren't going to show-up for a runoff.

Stick a fork in her...she's done.

They won’t do that. It might get criticized by the media.

The Democrat in the runoff for Bill Cassidy's former House seat is a convicted felon.

Many Louisiana voters and black voters may not realize this.

Appealing to some of the blacks should be in the Republican game plan.

Jeb Bush's son George P. Bush is Hispanic, and he does appeal to the Hispanic voters. I don't know if he won the Railroad Commission seat he ran for...

He ran for Texas Land Commissioner not for a seat as a Railroad Commissioner. Of course he won. The last time any Democrat won a statewide race in Texas was 1994. In fact he got over 60% of the vote and won in a landslide.
