I completely agree that destruction of these historical artifacts are criminal, outrageous acts.

But how interesting that the MSM finds this repulsive, but doesn’t appear to care much about Christians being beheaded, or being forced to watch their children be burned alive in cages for not converting.

Very interesting the selective outrage from our cultural betters.

As evidenced by the Elgin Marbles, Cleopatra's Needle, etc., the Anglo-American world has done more to preserve the antiquities of other peoples than they have done for themselves. Were it not for el-Sisi's ouster of the MB in Egypt, I suspect the Sphinx would have already gone the way of the Bamiyan Buddhas. I think, at least subliminally, part of the left's outrage is that ISIS's destruction and pillaging of these treasures demonstrates to the world at least one facet of western civilization that is clearly superior to others.
