Milky Way's center unveils supernova 'dust factory'
http://www.sciencedaily.com/ ^ | Cornell University

Sifting through the center of the Milky Way galaxy, astronomers have made the first direct observations -- using an infrared telescope aboard a modified Boeing 747 -- of cosmic building-block dust resulting from an ancient supernova.

There are two interesting stories here. One is the title story of the dust itself, the other is the "infrared telescope aboard a modified Boeing 747", a concept I find very interesting.

I assume it's this: SOFIA – Stratospheric Observatory for Infrared Astronomy

Is this now “settled science?” 10 to 1 says they’re just guessing.

Not all science is Global Warming Hoax.

In fact, only Global Warming Hoax is Global Warming Hoax.

The rest is science.

And yes, historically there is a lot of guess-work going on at the edges of scientific knowledge.

Guesses are made and tested. That’s how science works.

It’s really sad that the Global Warming Hoax has so soured people on science in general.

“In fact, only Global Warming Hoax is Global Warming Hoax.

The substitution of speculation for actual observation and experiment has pervaded far more than just climate science. In astrophysics alone, the prevailing cosmological theory is almost entirely speculative and untestable. For the parts that can be tested, when they didn’t match with reality, fudge factors were invented and are now talked about as if they represent actual physical realities (dark matter, dark energy). Just like with global warming, the physicists ask us to accept their computer models as a substitute for what they cannot observe, and then call it “science”.

I ain't buying it. The Global Warming hoax has convinced me that there are no stars. There's no interstellar dust. There are no planets and there is no sun. There is no Earth. There is no United States. No Georgia. No Atlanta. I am not typing on a keyboard. I do not exist.
