The only purpose for this article is to get the word "lavant" out into the vocabulary so ISIL will be more acceptable as ISIS
barry still has a couple of years in official, unrestrained power
basic thesis is man migrating from “the Levant” had dogs, and neanderthals had no dogs. that gave modern man a major advantage in hunting and allowed taking of any and all game, including mastodons which apparently were the favorite food.
also, the climate shifted and the hunting became more open, which was disadvantageous to the heavier bulkier Neanderthals but fit the lighter faster modern humans hunting with dogs. so basically the theory is modern man out hunted neanderthals.
the book has some interesting facts about the co-evolution of dog and man especially he ability to communicate via eye movement and eye color, which the author claims is unique to dogs and man. bit of a geeky read, but sounds like it could be right to me.
As a white male Christian, we are constantly under attack for embracing God’s perfect wisdom.
That said, I’ve always wondered how to square “Neanderthal” with God’s Word in the Bible and Adam/Eve.
Any comments will be appreciated...
Just waiting for the punchline that “climate change” caused the demise of the Neanderthals.
As I understand the paper--"Variability in Early Ahmarian lithic technology and its implications for the model of a Levantine origin of the Protoaurignacian"--their research supports the model that Ahmarian weapons in the Levant appeared later than those in Europe. The only mention of Neanderthals are side comments in the last section.
I suspect that phys.org neglected to link to this article from last month: "Were humans really more inventive than Neanderthals?".
We have a Neanderthal running the White House and her husband.
New story:
The reason for the Northern appearance of the stone points was because the homo sapiens sapiens immigrants were unable to copy the Ice V points made by the Neanderthals who sung them into existence on the glaciers using their tonal language which the sapiens were also unable to duplicate. The sapiens did the next next thing and made theirs out of stone ...
How can they be sure that the “Neanderthal” was not just a larger-boned, different human? If they can tell a white person, black person, Hispanic from a SKELETON why can’t the Neanderthal just be a human that was say in a pocket of the world that didn’t get out much, like those aborigines they’ve found around the planet? My husband’s uncles had heads just lie that Neanderthal. ;)
I am not convinced they are something other than human.
