In an exclusive interview with Breitbart News on Friday, GOP presidential candidate and businessman Donald Trump responded to Interior Minister Miguel Angel Osorio Chongs allegations that Trumps statements on immigrants from Mexico were biased and absurd.
Theyre not sending their best. Theyre not sending you. Theyre not sending you. Theyre sending people that have lots of problems, and theyre bringing those problems with us. Theyre bringing drugs. Theyre bringing crime. Theyre rapists. And some, I assume, are good people, Trump said during his announcement speech, which sparked Chongs reaction.
You can tell he is seeking to generate publicity, and of course he does not know or understand, surely, the contributions of all the migrants of practically every nation on earth, who have come to support and back the development of the United States, Chong told reporters.
Trump told Breitbart News, Mexico has made a fortune off the United States.
But he added, I love the Mexican people. Ive always had a great relationship with the Mexican people.

I’ve spent a fair amount of time in the southwest(Roswell, NM Del Rio, Tx)
Chong is not a mexican name I have ever heard.
I’ve been to Mexico many times. Always the border towns. Wife and I would cross to get “staples”. We would usually find a decent restaurant, and then find a little cantina for some cold cervezas. Found one with a nice display of Cuban cigars. Not once, in all the times we’ve been there, have the people been anything but gracious and polite.
They’ve got problems, but I think the govt pushes their worst across the border. Cuba has been doing to us for years.
Build the wall, manage the border, send the criminals back. The Mexicans that run the businesses along the border want the same thing as they are being overrun by criminals. If we shut off the flow the criminal will leave that area and go to greener pastures.
> Those stories have ceased because all of the gang members are here now
And are reportedly going to assist ISIS in getting over the border according to various sources I’ve heard and read
> I think Trumps idea of having Mexico pay for the wall might have come from Michael Savages book, where he says the illegal aliens should build a wall. Cheap labor, ya know? Why not round up those incarcerated and have them build that dang wall. This might be his idea - just a thought on my part.
Do you know how many mule tunnels would pop up if the Mexicans built the wall? There’d also be secret passages built into the wall everywhere.
Guess the Mexican government has no shame. They don’t encourage immigration to their country instead they encourage their citizens to leave and live illegally in another country.
There are tunnels from Mexico to San Diego anyway. It might work - who knows? I know they use a lot of prisoners here in my community to build playgrounds at the schools, do road cleanups, etc. Of course, they are supervised.
Yes of course he was disturbed with the open border fiasco. (Thank God. What if he weren’t?) I concur, BUT, he is also experiencing the cost of being so blunt, blathering without a hint of nuance or grace. He can’t be used to the kind of media push back, of perhaps global proportion, nor the endless public ridicule that may not be a boost to his “brand”.
He is about to learn how to be tied in knots, called to task for what he spouts off, to spend time digging himself out of self made gaffe catastrophes, in order to answer what will surely be an avalanche of domestic and international criticism, by those taking umbrage with his thought stream and incessantly loose lips.
But, yes, everyone thinks it’s cool that he’s blunt, even sometimes accurate, and entertaining. However, the Trumpet has the makings of a disaster, that over time may prove not so fun, or funny. Yikes!
Yearly, billions of dollars get wire transferred back to Mexico from the US. Put in place a transaction fee for all EFTs. About 5 to 10% would be enough for Trump’s wall.
>I know they use a lot of prisoners here in my community to build playgrounds at the schools, do road cleanups, etc<
.
That was also a very common sight in the South in the 60’s.
I love Mexican nationals when they are in Mexico; I love Mexican food when it’s here (San Diego, Mexican food Mecca).
That would have to apply only to monies wired back to home countries. I’d hate to see that kind of a charge in my bank account.
Yes only transfers to Mexico. They’d end up paying.
Trump is right. Mexico has been dumping the dregs of their society on us for my lifetime. Its time to put a stop to it and Mexico is freaking out at the thought it might happen.
