Too Hot (Vanity)
The Weatherman | July 20th, 2015 | Self

Posted on 07/20/2015 11:32:45 AM PDT by Mariner

Unusual Weather here in Sacramento.

It's not even noon and it's 92deg with 50% humidity.

Awful.

The dewpoin t is 70.5deg.

I don't know how folks east of the Mississippi are able to adjust to such weather, a common occurrence where they live.

"If we could just get through one news cycle without a Californian complaining about the weather.... :)"

Not likely.

The weather is so unusual, we have to say SOMETHING lol

We have the same weather in West Texas. Can remember running into that weather in Sacramento before. It does happen every now and then. Now 95 F with 80 % humidity is downright painful.

For any baseball, my spouse would have no problem.

Small break in the Puget Sound area today. I could hardly function yesterday it was so hot. ‘Course, being hung-over didn’t help, but I can usually handle that! HAHA!

I lived in Puyallup for nearly 20 years. It got hot a couple of times....once 95, and I believe the all time record of 102 circa 2000.

NOBODY up there owns AC. It's not needed.

Even on "hot" days you can open the windows at sundown and a 60deg breeze will blow through.

It’s VERY HOT (temp & humidity in the 90’s) here in LA - that’s Lower Alabama, NOT Los Angles lol!

87 degrees and 71% here in Illinois. Actually moderate for this time of year.

I’m a Californian native, but I lived in the south for 8 years during my childhood. See, we never get rain here—something which distresses me greatly. I am thankful, however, that we don’t get the humidity that they have in the southeast. Really nasty.

We don’t own AC. Have lived here for 24 years (Puyallup area) and normally I would agree with the window open at sundown thing, but that’s not been happening all that much this year. It was much cooler last night, tho, which was great for sleeping! Seriously concerned about the dryness. Hubby and I were sitting outside yesterday, talking about it, and I pointed out the number of cedar trees we have surrounding our property that would go up like torches! They are ALL droopy/dry. Our huge maple tree dropped a limb while we were out there (just a small one...about 6 feet long) but it was TOTALLY dried up, leaves, helicopter seeds and all. August is going to be fun. Not.

DFW, aka ‘North Central’ Texas, seems to be having a milder than normal summer. Temps have been flirting with, but not quite reaching, the hundred degree mark, so far this year. Fairly low humidity too, given the amount of rain we have received.

Ye gads... a dew point of 70 is considered uncomfortable...80 is just plain nasty.
