Rained hard Saturday and Sunday, which is very, very unusual.

Rain? What's that? I've heard about it, but it's been over 7 months since we've had any measurable amount.

Bless your heart, I'm afraid you'd freeze if you came here. I've lived here for 40 years and I think there was one day I remember seeing the temp posted on one of the banks that said 93---we absolutely died! None of us have AC in our homes.

I’ve lived on the Orange County coast for 49 years. Not quite as cool as your place, but close. Our town in particular gets a steady and stiff cool ocean breeze, because of the angle of the shoreline, looking straight across at Catalina Island.

When the Santa Ana condition hits SoCal it can get warm for a couple of days.

But this weekend it was a tropical storm. I think and hope it means El Nino and winter rain.

I have spent some time from Ventura to Ft. Bragg, and I know it gradually get a few degrees cooler going north. Maybe up to 5 degrees F.

I have never lived in a house with A/C. I work in an office across the street from the ocean. We have no heat or A/C. We regulate comfort by opening or closing windows and doors, and with clothes.

The house (one mile to the ocean) gets cooled with up to four fans, if needed.
