Not sure if you are joking or not but FWIW – dashboard cameras or “dashcams” for short.

They are relatively inexpensive and many people get them as a sort of “insurance” if they are in an accident cause by the shenanigans of another driver; be it road rage or drunk drivers, scam artists, etc. or even rogue cops. Some people use them to document road trips and sometimes they pick up interesting phenomena like meteors. Depending on the model, the cam can record hours of video before overwriting once capacity has been reached and some also record audio.

Dashcams are extremely popular in Russia where evidently there are a lot of bad drivers and insurance scammers and corrupt local cops who shake down drivers for cash if there is an accident – whether it is the driver’s fault or not. There are thousands of compilations of Russian dashcam videos.
