Glenn Beck having absolute tantrum on the radio

Posted on 09/10/2015 7:00:14 AM PDT by SoCalTransplant

Glenn Beck is having an absolute hissy on the radio right now. In epic meltdown, he is literally rambling and mad at the world. The In the course of the first 45 minutes in the program we've learned that:

- Sarah Palin is a clown - Trump supporters are no different than Obama supporters in 2008/2012 -Don Lemon on the other hand, is an honest guy trying to do the right thing -Ted Cruz is in Donald Trump's hip pocket

I honestly thought at one point he was going to scream "STOP LIKING SOMEONE I DON'T LIKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!". It seems ironic to me that a guy who blathers on about how we need to have a dialogue with people we disagree with apparently doesn't extend that courtesy to anyone who doesn't immediately "snap to" and agree that Donald Trump is the Antichrist. It will be interesting to see if he becomes more and more unhinged if the Trump wave continues.

Is anyone else listening to this and if so, what are your thoughts?

To give Beck credit, he does show understanding of many issues, much of the time. But he is totally clueless on some issues, all of the time. His adoration of the late Marxist cleric Martin Luther King seems to portend a need to redefine basic Left/Right issues, to suit his own perceptions of tactical priorities. It really undermines his credibility and causes confusion among people who would otherwise want to support him.

My analysis of the Beck situation was a piece posted in 2010, Plastique In The Foundation. While I described & assailed Beck's Martin Luther King rally, I refrained from attacking Beck by name, because he is usually Conservative, and I am not comfortable attacking other Conservatives--although no one could have had the slightest doubt, to whom I was referring.

I recognize that we can not expect uniformity--nor should we wish uniformity--in Conservative thought. Uniformity of thought is the goal of Marxists, Bolsheviks, Nazis, and other Leftist Totalitarian movements. But the inconsistency of anyone who claims to champion traditional American liberty, idolizing Martin Luther King, who looked to increased Federal dictation as the cure to all social & economic problems, can not be rationally justified.

Beck never had a program on FoxNews; he was just a paid contributor. ....His program was on CNN’s HLN

Yes he did. It was on the 5:00 hour and he was fired by FNS. He then went to CNN.

Did Trump really get booed?

I saw the video of his speech from when he was introduced to the end and I didn't hear any boo's.

Funny thing is they forced Trump to take the pledge the others took. Now the others must back Trump if he wins.

The Two Edged Sword cuts both ways. They now must back the person America wants, not another loser like McCain, Dole, and Romney.

These guys wouldn’t say what Trump said about Illegals or any other thing he said like defunding abortions, against the Iran deal (where were they yesterday?). They don’t have Ted’s or Donald’s courage. They are bought off by the Cheap Labor Express and the Washington Cartel

Glenn made a comment on one of his shows that Trump’s wife was a porn star. I’m sure that made Trump want to crush him like a bug.

Okay, I’ve listened to the first half hour and so far not much of a rant. You have 15 minutes left to redeem yourself.

I think everyone does, at some level. But even Beck has talked about that. About how things just don’t feel right. Been that way for a while now.

Well said. And I agree and said earlier, I’m not completely anti-Beck. But it does seem like the Trump thing is driving him insane. He’s like someone that has a set idea of how things need to be. Both the results and HOW it needs to happen.

The worship of Martin Luther King by many conservatives is astounding, with Beck being chief among the lot. They’ve bought in hook, line and sinker to the MSM image of who he was, and completely ignore the fact that the man was at the very lease a socialist, again in his own words, and was a moral sleaze.

If I could say anything to Glenn Beck, I’d ask him if he’s ever considered that God could use Donald Trump. The Bible is full of examples from Baa-lam to Sampson, Solomon to Cyrus, From Caesar Augustus to Pilate of God using flawed and even pagan men to accomplish his will.

Beck is mentally ill and has been for a long time, I recognized it back in the mid ninety’s when I first heard him on the radio, beyond that he has a jealousy streak that is way over the top. He has on several occasions been an embarrassment to conservative thinkers having childish fits and making outrageous claims that never produced, even though he has been very good on many issues, he cannot be trusted, I’m sure there are drugs that could help with whatever mental condition he suffers, but I don’t think he is willing to take them.

He should have a “cry off” with Boehner.
Both are completely worthless human beings.

Once upon a time, during his Fox TV show days, Beck was informative and mostly rational.
I traveled to DC to be part of Beck's "Restoring Honor" gathering on the Mall.
I rarely watch Fox anymore, and I have never tuned into Beck's radio show on purpose.
Reports like this dissuade me from even considering being part of Beck's audience again.

He’s talking about bringing in illegal alien Syrian (Christians)

I would not be opposed to allowing Syrian and Iraqi Christians come here. These people are being subjected to genocide. I'd even sponsor a family and let them stay in my home. But I strenuously oppose allowing even one more muslim of any nationality enter thsi country for any reason.

Listening and it sounds like he got his feelings hurt because of speech being interrupted. That has really twisted him up.

King was more than just another Socialist. His famous march on Washington, succeeded in bringing together various Marxist leaders & groups, which had not previously worked together--they were rivals for the power they expected--i.e., as believers in the Marxist view of historic inevitability. But they came together, all seeing King as useful, for apparently having the American establishment on the run.

Beck chooses to quote King out of context, and to pretend--there is no better word for it--that he was a great libertarian. He was the absolute opposite.
