Alcoholism?
Could it be? I only know drinking in bar settings and dont know the symptoms of an alcoholic.
Except friend’s father. Functioning alcoholic. Held job and a bottle of whiskey for 50 years. Died of liver issues.

You know that is a good possibility. There is something not quite right with him.
That’s his background. A friend of mine who is in AA says that Beck has had four AA mentors quit on him because Beck is uncooperative and won’t follow the program. He calls Beck a dry drunk, meaning that Beck probably isn’t drinking but that he’s still filled with all of the anger, immaturity and self-centeredness typical of alkies. In Beck’s mind he’s doing everything right, it’s everyone around him with the problem.
