This helps put into perspective the past demands by the Egyptian authorities for museums around the world to return antiquities.
Achmed: “Oh crap.”
Muhammad (whispering): “Hey, Achmed, just glue it back on, no one will ever notice.”
Osiris, the glue that never Sets
I wonder if they used epoxy on Obama’s beard. It would certainly explain her odd shape.
That ticks me off every time I see it.
It sounds like the epoxy is working fine. Why f-— with it?
what the heck is that
I predict the “joint scientific committee” will ultimately recommend that a mixture of Bisphenol A Resin, Diisodecyl Phthalate and Magnesium Silicate, be used to permanently reattach King TUt’s beard.

Saturday Night Live could not have come up with anything funnier.
“Do you really want to hurt me.... ?”
Did you get to see the traveling Tut exhibit when it came to the states?
Saw it in NYC. Just amazing.
Why’d the two horn players get along so well?
They had a toot in common.
Haha

That entire story is a classic. In another thread, someone posted a picture of the “restored” Jesus next to a still picture taken from that alleged movie of a “Sasquatch”. It had me laughing for days!
“Just a little touch up here, a little buff there, it’ll be great!”
I love the attempt at justification from another link in that thread:
“The unconventional nature of the restored painting tells a story. The fringes of the painting are very faithful to the original, particularly in the cloth. However, the painting becomes looser, more expressionistic as we move to the center. This is reflective of how modern people have grown comfortable with the superficial window dressings of Christianity, yet tensions secretly boil at the core.
“... By depicting Christ with simian features, the piece smolders with the passion and agony of contemporary man, struggling to reconcile religion and science. Are we the divine children of god or the discordant descendants of apes? The lingering power of this question has lead contemporary worshipers to redub the fresco Ecce Mono or Behold The Monkey.”
Comedy GOLD!!!
I saw it in Chicago. There’s some kind of exhibition in Grand Rapids right now, but I suspect it’s more oriented to kids. Plus, I saw busloads of the little boogermakers tramping in and out of the entrance. Maybe some Saturday...
