Its probably a hollow tank from a satellite and wouldn’t have a lot of mass.
Kind of like dropping a feather from space. If it didn’t burn up it would still fall like a feather by the time it reached the ground.
It starts its journey from space traveling at ~7Km per sec. I don’t think it flutters to the ground like a leaf.
