Harrison Twp. is only about 3 - 4 miles south of Selfridge so it could be debris falling from flying aircraft but there's not much flight traffic these days.

My guess is that it's mud that may have fallen from a low flying coast guard helicopter which is always active along that part of the lake due to the ice fishing.........

Warthog poop(as in A-10, from Selfridge)?

...used to fly low around these parts(NW of Selfridge)all the time...fortunately without the droppings.
