If they were passing along a CNN story, then it seems like the issue should be with CNN for false reporting, not with the Cruz campaign. I doubt Ted Cruz is able to control anything CNN is publishing.

Rubio lies. No one said he was withdrawing. People are saying a vote for Rubio is a wasted vote since he has no chance. That is a fair thing to say. It’s an opinion. Rubio is doing the same thing to Cruz and then lying about Cruz.

Cruz is scum. If he gets the nomination, I hope a good candidate will run in the Constitutional Party. I have never not voted for the nominee, but I can't imagine voting for Cruz. He just wears slimmey well.

something is not passing the smell test here. If I were Senator Cruz I would tell my rapid response team to NOT instantly respond to anything from CNN UNLESS it was an attack on Cruz. Everything else from CNN needs to be cross verified by another source before responding.
