“We must emphasize the imperative that economic investment be led and perpetuated by the private sector. There is no force proven like the market for aligning incentives, sourcing capital, and producing results like financial markets and profit-making businesses. This is simply necessary to sustain a higher living standard for the poorest among us — truly the measure of our success. As such, investment fundsand financing mechanisms should be deemed attractive instruments by those committing the capital and should only be developed in conjunction with market participants.”

Specifically what is wrong with this paragraph?

That is a portion of her “additional view”. Here is her entire “additional view”

I support the Task Force report and its recommendations aimed at building a safer and more prosperous North America. Economic prosperity and a world safe from terrorism and other security threats are no doubt inextricably linked. While governments play an invaluable role in both regards, we must emphasize the imperative that economic investment be led and perpetuated by the private sector. There is no force proven like the market for aligning incentives, sourcing capital, and producing results like financial markets and profit-making businesses. This is simply necessary to sustain a higher living standard for the poorest among us - truly the measure of our success. As such, investment funds and financing mechanisms should be deemed attractive instruments by those committing the capital and should only be developed in conjunction with market participants. - Heidi S. Oh for crying out loud. I could pull a random paragraph from the Communist Manifetso that would, out of context, appear to be completely harmless.

There is nothing in that paragraph that seems wrong. However the context includes:

*NAFTA on Steroids with more American jobs bleeding south.
*Comprehensive Immigration Control
*The virtual elimination of our northern and southern borders, similar to the EU.

She's calling for an independent, autonomous board to oversee the economic integration. Just like the Fed is independent and WTO is independent and the IMF is independent. They just call the shots and the rest of us pay the price.
