Mars can never be colonized, because the inner core has cooled and unlike the Earth’s core, it is solid and unmoving. Because of this, the gravity is not strong enough to hold the atmosphere to the planet.
So the Heinlein book wherein they had large Oxygen-producing machines just ain’t gonna happen, which is a bummer.
The good news is that the oxygen-free environment makes it a good destination for muslimes.
A solid core has very little to do with holding an atmosphere. Mars can be colonized, but the atmosphere would need regular maintenance due to losses to space.
My advice: Bring potatoes.

Mars is the perfect destination for islam...it has the perfect atmosphere for such a depraved and useless belief system.
One can easily make Holy Water just by boiling the Hell out of it.

Close, but no cigar.
A molten core produces a planetary magnetic field which shields a planet from the solar wind of its sun. Without that protection, a planet’s atmosphere will be gradually blown away.
That’s what happened to Mars’ atmosphere.
People have speculated for decades about terraforming Mars, but unless we can figure out how to reheat the planet’s core, it ain’t happening.
You can always build Habitation Domes.
