Tang was a commercial product invented before the Sputnik, in 1957.
It wasn’t very successful until it was included on the ‘menu’ for astronauts to drink, and then became a household word, cause ever kid wanted to “Drink what the astronauts drink!”.........................me as well, born in 1955 I was just the right age to become very space oriented as a kid.
