Bittel is one of the biggest assholes on the planet and anyone who has spent even 5 minutes with him knows that is true. He's the kind of guy that would screw over his mother if he thought it would make him a few extra dollars. And no self respecting elected officials really care what he thinks - they just humor him so he writes another check. If he stopped giving money, nobody would ever talk to him. That doesn't mean he is influential, it means he is pathetic, insecure and a social reject.
