The sad thing is, if the “Allies” had not had their heads in their behinds (and likely elsewhere in the vicinity), Putin / Assad could have been end run, at far less cost (not to mention the needless deaths & suffering in the ME, and turmoil in Europe.) Putin could have been outmaneuvered and not able to a thing about it.

They built ISIS and have used it as their bloody scalpel throughout the Middle East.

Good to see the Qatar pipeline story getting some traction on FR, though.
