When fighting savages, sometimes you have to be a little savage yourself.

It’s the only thing they understand.
Sometimes you have to speak their language.

Amen... Kyle Weissnam who wrote Events in Human history blog on my website has made similar remarks concerning fighting communism. He's a military historian as well. He says that among the military figures he admires most for their ability are Genghis Khan, Vo Ngyen Giap, Francisco Franco and Aetius Flavius. This despite being anti-communist and anti-fascist. At a banquet honoring veterans even they were shocked at his anecdotes one what he would do if he commanded the US army in the Vietnam war or a theoretical war with China. He was called Genghis Kyle. One veteran said he thanked God that Kyle wasn't an officer during Nam and that he'd rather we lost. Me? I think I'd rather have a violent war criminal like Kyle as our commander and chief that go beneath the feet of China. I only agreed with one of his policies he would enact if he commanded in ww3, he said he would bring back Stalin's order 227 (NOT ONE STEP BACK.) Given that most of our army in such an event would be made up of millennial, that probably would make sense. But yeah, maybe it does help to be savage.

There should be a TV show on Genghis similar to the Vikings show on Ragnar’s Viking conquests. I would rate Genghis as the #1 Bad Ass of all time. While he did act savage at times, he was the most pragmatically brilliant and successful leader I have ever read about.
