The Legacy is over, but 24 will live on.
Fox has decided not to renew 24: Legacy for a second season despite investing heavily in the show by premiering it after the Super Bowl this year. The network will instead work with producers to re-develop the franchise for a new version with a refreshed cast later on down the line. The next edition will be more anthological, the network says (so more like a single season miniseries which Legacy ultimately became).
The decision concludes a rather dramatic rise and fall for the high-profile reboot, which revived the action-drama franchise with Straight Outta Compton breakout star Corey Hawkins, along with Homeland actress Miranda Otto and Sons of Anarchy veteran Jimmy Smits.

As bad as “24 BLM” was, Fox did have a good “reboot” series this year. “Prison Break” was actually quite good, once you got past the “resurrection” of Michael Scofield. Seeing Mark Feuerstein as a two-faced rogue agent was intriguing, and I had to admit he did a good job.
And, unlike “24 BLM”, the ending of “Prison Break” was quite satisfying, IMHO.
I watched one episode and just couldn’t get into it because it seemed to be all about political correctness, etc. 24 isn’t 24 without Jack and it just wasn’t very interesting, imo.
You mean the hero with the award of Youngest Squad Leader in the History of the Rangers! didn’t pan out?
The morons...
>> PC revisionist trash..
Sutherland (producer) tends to gravitate to that low level of trash. Designated Survivor also fell flat on its face for the same trashy reason.
Wouldn’t mind another season or two of hardcore Jack Bauer.
24 jumped the Shark when they Nuked Valencia.
24 had a couple of pathetic PC seasons, but otherwise it was the only series that had me sitting in front of the television.
Not watching any blackwashed shows that replace white male characters with blacks or women. F diversity.
I never understood the popularity of 24. The first half of every season they chased down nasty terrorists, the second half of the season they revealed that - surprise! - the whole plot was the fault of the president, who just happened to look like Richard Nixon.
Pretty weak stuff.
Mr. SMG was okay... Now he does voice work, cookbooks and podcasts. :)
Absolutely agree ... had enough problem when Sean Connery was replaced by Roger Moore.
