From the you just had to know THIS was coming department, the CEO of the recreational vehicle and equipment chain Camping World is already backing down from statements that he made suggesting that some supporters of President Trump should shop elsewhere.
The remarks of Marcus Lemonis have come back to bite him in the ass big time as he seems to be finding out just how many millions of dollars that his loose tongue and arrogance could cost him if Trump supporters took his advice and spent their hard-earned dollars at businesses owned by competitors.
Now he is claiming that it was all a big misunderstanding and that he ONLY meant the neo-Nazis and white supremacists which according to CNN there are 63 million of them.
It really would be. Though, I'd hope that people would save such a moment for a real apology rather than a clarification and an I'm sorry you were offended.

The NFL believes that you will still show up no matter what how much they insult you because they are the only game in town.

Don’t forget the $7B+ in taxpayer ‘funding’ as well. Unfort., way too many of the populace believe in the whole ‘it brings IN more $$ than out’ mantra than not.
Here is the way Camping World does business in Shreveport, LA. Friends of mine bought a new motor home, and to do a credit check they were required to pay a $1000 deposit. They bought the motorhome, got it home and found several defects. Requested to cancel the deal. CW finally agreed to take it back but refused to refund the $1000 credit check deposit. They were able to stop payment on the check. Otherwise they would have lost the deposit. I have bought very little at CW. They are expensive and now I know I am done with them.
Anyone have a link to video of the original statement outside of CNBC (can’t watch with adblockers)?
Indeed. Twenty seconds of clear thinking would tell him that the urban metrosexual snowflakes who eat up the BS social justice corporate marketing and anti Trump bike are overwhelmingly NOT outdoors types
Too late.
Liberals first say what they really believe, then if the blow back is really bad they lie and either offer a fake apology or claim they didn’t really mean what they said.
I never accept a lib apology at face value.
The rapidly changing demographics of this country along with the demonization of football by the left will lead to the decline of the NFL and football in general.
PERFECT. And I kind of think that most execs are inclined to answer that way (other than in the Tech industry, of course)...even if they don’t like Trump.
But they likely have these little pajama boys whispering in their ears (i.e., P.R. types) telling them otherwise...and getting them to make asses of themselves.
Perhaps you misunderstand: I feel that anyone who cares simply honor his original request and take their business elsewhere. THAT would be something the left and the world could not ignore.
No histrionics, just action.
No idea where you get “offended” from...
Too late now buddy.
Probably the same ones who steal booze from liquor stores...
Too Late.
And I BUY stuff like that!
I will continue to shop elsewhere.
I do feel sorry for the salespeople in, for instance, Bath NY where they are going to be without income very soon. Prince Andrew of the House of Cuomo is seeing to that. They will have to move to where some food is...
I strongly suspect that the majority of his customers are Trump supporters. I know everyone in my family is and we are just the type of customer CampingWorld is looking for.
I’ll take my business elsewhere and encourage everyone else I know to do the same.
LOLOL!!!
How can these leftists think it’s good for business to tell their customers to stop buying their product?
If Lemonis is “sick” of the “fighting”
Then he should have kept his trap shut
He meant what he said, and said it about . . . Trump voters.
Anyone who would do a show with a bigot like George Lopez isn’t someone who likes Trump voters, “hatemongers” or not
Upstate is beautiful but they need to face facts, NYC calls all the shots and they’re going to continue to decline, their red voting ways are an exercise in futility. Might as well head south. Parts of southern Appalachia are not altogether different from there, less snow, higher mountains, warmer but every bit as scenic, perhaps moreso.
That would be awesome, if people actually did that.
Seriously, what if a group of us got together on a Saturday afternoon and did just that. Left a bunch of filled shopping carts at the registers and just walked out en masse. Video the whole thing and put it on YouTube. Bet it would go viral. That would teach retailers that when they go political, they risk losing half their customer base.
I see nothing illegal about doing that.
Awesome idea.
