There was a modest sized quake out in the Atlantic not too long ago. Unusual but not unheard of.

Enough said. Snake oil salesman. Now even a quiver in the Atlantic will be claimed as a fulfillment of this.

“New age earthquake researcher” — that was rather interesting. Now, what do actual geologists have to say.

These planet alignment worries amuse me.
Do they affect our oceans? Are they responsible for our ocean tides?
The truth is, the Moon is so close, it stresses our planet much more than planets ever could.
This is just silly talk.
There was an alignment prediction in the late 1980s. It was predicted for the early 90s. I know a guy that worried about it for literally years. (not me)
Nothing happened.
I can’t say there won’t be an earthquake anytime. Can’t say there will be either. Neither can anyone else.

A 7.0 earthquake is not a “mega” quake.
Mr. Hoogerbeets? He’s beating something but it’s not beets.

What rot. Gravitational force follows the inverse square law. The moon only moves water around, and that’s a damned close planetary body.

Stupidity abounds. The combined mass of Jupiter, Uranus and Mercury is infinitesimal in the larger scheme of things and has a negligible effect on the Earth.
My “mass”, at 290 pounds, has more affect on the Atlantic ocean than those three planets do simply because I am incredibly closer to it.

If this prediction occurs, then I will buy every Freeper a beverage of his or her choice.
The forces exerted by the planets are insignificantly small, because gravitational force obeys the inverse square law. And all the planets’ mass combined is insignificantly small compared to our sun. Our own moon exerts magnitudes more force upon the earth than all the planets combined.
